The Head of Supplier Quality Engineering is responsible for the strategic and operational management of supplier quality across the entire supply chain. The goal is to ensure and continuously improve supplier performance in terms of quality, processes, cost efficiency, and delivery reliability.
This position leads the Supplier Quality team, further develops standards and processes, and acts as the central point of contact for escalations as well as for interfaces with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production.

Hauptaufgaben:
Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Supplier Quality Engineer team, including resource planning, target setting, coaching, and professional development
Strategic development and continuous improvement of the supplier quality strategy (methods, standards, escalation models, KPI systems)
Supplier qualification and development (selection, approval, evaluation, re-qualification) in accordance with internal and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001)
Establishment and management of a KPI-based performance management system, including regular supplier evaluations, audits, and management reviews
Planning, execution, and follow-up of supplier audits (system, process, and product audits), including audit programs and audit reports
Escalation management in case of quality deviations (internal/external)
Support and approval of relevant sampling and validation processes (e.g., PPAP, component validation)
Ensuring traceability and documentation, including quality reports, inspection reports, and technical documentation
Close collaboration with engineering, purchasing, production, and, where applicable, customers
Anforderungen:
Relevant professional experience in supplier quality
Proven experience in team leadership (technical and disciplinary)
Very good knowledge of integrated Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001)
Confident use of quality methods and tools
Negotiation-level communication with international suppliers, strong assertiveness, and conflict resolution skills
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Experience with international supplier structures
Strong analytical skills, results and quality orientation
